Announces Open Auditions for
Section Viola
Auditions will be held in Seattle Thursday, June 12, 2003
Only highly qualified candidates will be invited to audition.
Employment will begin in the 2003/2004 Season.
Salary: Minimum annual guarantee of 75 services at no less than $133.80 per basic service.
Benefits include 7% pension and medical.
Each candidate must prepare a solo work of his/her own choice. Any qualifying candidate may be required, as part of the Final Audition, to perform with the Orchestra or with the pertinent section.
Orchestra works from which excepts will be taken are:
Hindemith Theme and Variations (Melancholic Variation)
Mendelssohn Midsummer Night's Dream (Scherzo)
Mahler Symphony 10 (Movement 1)
Prokofiev Love for Three Oranges (from PNB Cinderella)
Stravinsky Agon
Please send a one-page resume, including recent orchestral experience and music education, and an audition deposit check for $25.00 payable to "Pacific Northwest Ballet" to:
